About Fadden: Information The federal seat of 'Fadden' is named after Queenslander Arthur William Fadden (1894-1973). Arthur was a Country Party (now the National Party) Prime Minister for forty days after Bob Menzies and before the great Labor Prime Minister John Curtin during World War 2 in 1941. Arthur was a Member of the House of Representatives from 1936 to 1958. Fadden has been held by the Honourable David Jull, Liberal, since 1984. With a two party preferred margin on 15.28%, Fadden is regarded as a 'safe' Liberal Party seat. Yet Fadden has Labor members at the state level, including Margaret Keech (Albert), Peta Kaye-Croft (Broadwater) and Phil Gray (Gaven).
